Poropat's Picks Weekday Update

Hot off the press, Wide Reciever Chris Chambers was released on monday by the San Diego Chargers and was picked up today by the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs elected to pay the $2.3 million penelty for picking him up before Tuesday morning, a penalty that teams like the Giants, Jets and Colts were not willing to pay to get him.

Chambers was a 2nd round pick by Miami in 2001 and made over 100 starts with the Dolphins and Chargers. He has 482 receptions for almost 7,000 yards and 53 touchdowns. He started as the Chargers number 1 receiver but fell quickly to number 3 after the emergence of Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd before being released by the Chargers for lack of production. The Chiefs are excited to see what he can do on the playing filed and should fill the number 2 receiver role in KC.

In other news, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad is now causing some distractions and contraversy for the famed Cowboys team. The Dallas Morning News reported yesterday that Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Whitney Isleib, a caucasion cheerleader with blonde hair dressed up as the black rapper Lil Wayne. This caused an abundant amount of contraversy in the Dallas media. There are even reports saying that she may be removed from the squad.

It's unclear whether Whitney will be removed from the squad. According to a spokesman for the Dallas Cowboys, quote, "We are aware of the images and we are handling it internally." (Dallas Morning News)

The Dallas Cowboys might be the most famous team in all of sports. No matter what the status is of the Dallas Cowboys they are ALWAYS under fire. All of the commotion that came from last years disappointing end to the season, was put on the blame of their distracting players. Jerry Jones cleared out the lockeroom, removing Tank Johnson, Pacman Jones and even future hall of famer Terrel Owens. The move was extremelly questionable, and the cowboys were still under fire until week 4 when their number 1 reciever emerged in Miles Austin. Ever since then its been pretty quiet... until now of course.

It looks like Jerry Jones has forgotten to clean out one part of the team... the cheerleading squad.
This is just proof that as the Dallas Cowboys, contraversy follows, and distractions are inevitable. Maybe they should bring back T.O. to replace this cheerleader if they decide to terminate her. He would probably score more points that way than in Buffalo.

That's this week's Poropats Picks Weekday Update. Have a great week, the weekend is almost here.
