Some REALLY great games last week. This week as well. we have the Steelers trying to fend off the Bengals in Pittsburgh, we have the Chargers trying to keep it alive while the Eagles try to get back in that race. And lets not forget our annual Brady-Manning matchup on sunday night. Heres what we picked this week:
POROPAT
The Falcons are coming off an unofficial bye week, having to play the Redskins last week. They didnt really prove anything, except that they can beat the teams they should crush. They seem to be the only team outside of New Orleans that has a shot at the playoffs this year from that division. The Panthers really have show up as of late. They might be able to upset the Falcons and i WOULD take them, if it weren't for Jake Delhomme's guaranteed 2-3 picks EVERY single game. The Panthers are not the type of team to be able to overcome that many turnovers.
Falcons win, 28-20.

RHOADES
For the Falcons, playing the Redskins make anyone look good, although they are a solid team, while Carolina played a tough game against the Saints last week. The Panthers look like there turning around but the Falcons are the more talented team this year.
Falcons win, 31-17

Ok, now the Bucs are not a good team. They really aren't. But, they are a LOT better than they were 3 weeks ago. If anyone has noticed, they really have put up over 25 points in almost every game this season. Its their defense that has problems. When you give them turnovers they will win, because now, with Josh Freeman they won't give those turnovers back. The Fins aren't the type of team to give up 2-4 turnovers. They should be able o control this game, and win the games they should, which should be every game until they play New England again in 4 weeks.
Fins win, 33-28.

The Lions do look better with Matt Stafford... for the first half of their games. Stafford had FIVE picks. FIVE picks does not win you games. The truth is, if he had only thrown 4, or 3 picks. they would have won. Their lives on his shoulders no doubt. The Vikings are coming off of a well-needed bye week. They should be VERY strong off the bye and i expect them to physically dominate the Lions in every aspect of this game.
Vikings win, 31-14.

RHOADES
The Lions are not looking good for this game. The Vikings are looking really strong behind QB Brett Favre and RB Adrian Peterson. The Vikings should be able to run and pass at will on the weak Lion defense.
Vikings win, 28-3

The Jags played well against the Chiefs, but let the Chiefs back in it in the second half. They showed that they could be a vulnerable team at certain points. The Jets, i think, will win this game. They need a bounce back game, theya re at home and coming off of a bye. Also, their 4 loses come from division teams and NFC teams. The Jags are neither of those. I'm sticking with the trend here.
Jets win, 25-18.

The Last time we saw the Jets, they were getting beat by kick returns, while the Jaguars were barely getting past the Chiefs. The Jets should have an advantage at home, unless they cant stop Jags RB Maurice Jones-Drew.
Jets win, 28-24.

The Bengals are, right now, the beast of the North. They have shown that they are the dominate team in that division. They have beaten the Browns and Steelers once each already, and swept the Ravens. The Steelers, however, did not have strong safety Troy Polumalu when they first played the Bengals. In my opinion, the Steelers are THE BEST TEAM in the AFC with Polumalu in the game. As long as he stays healthy, they should take this division and go DEEP into the playoffs. Because of that, i think the Bengals have not seem a defense as strong as the Steelers WITH Troy, and they will fall to this team.
Steelers win, 31-25.

The Saints are coming off a close game against the division rival Panthers. They showed that the way to get ahead of the Saints is to run the ball. The Rams have Steven Jackson, probably the best player on the worst team. I can hear you now, "wait a minute, your saying the Rams might beat the Saints?" Well... in a word? NO. The Saints will triumph. But IF Jackson was on another team playing the saints, then they might be able to win.
Saints win, 46-16.

I will be disappointed if the Saints don’t score 100. If the Rams win this game, then anything is truly possible.
Saints win, 100-7.

This might be the most intriguing game of the week. The struggling Bills are coming off of a bye week with the hopes to try to reestablish their playoffs hopes in the AFC. QB Trent Edwards will be starting this week, after missing 2 weeks from a concussion. Im not 100% sure that Fitzpatrick isn't the better choice, and to be honest, i don't think T.O. likes that idea either. There is a chance HE will be sitting out as well with a "hip strain" (a.k.a. Edwards Can't Pass Syndrom). In any light, the Titans are finally coming together as a team and after 6 straight loses, have put together a 2-game win streak. I feel that the Bills have more potential, they have the most amount of interceptions thus far this season. Their run defense is doing well too, but they haven't seen Chris Johnson yet.
Titans win, 25-20.

RHOADES
The Titans have also been playing so good football lately on a 2 game winning streak, while the Bills have looked pretty terrible as of late. Titans RB Chris Johnson should have another field day on the Bills weak rush defense.
Colts win, 28-10.

The Broncos have lose 2 straight coming off of their bye. They desperately need a second bye week to back on track. And guess what? they got it! They play the Washington Redskins. This game should be a flat out blowout. The skins have not been able to produce and cannot contain any offense, even they game-managing offense of the Broncos. Should be entertaining... for the Broncos fans.
Broncos win, 28-9.

The Denver Broncos have not looked very good lately and might have been exposed by the Ravens, while the Redskins got blown out again, this time by the Falcons. The Broncos should get back on track this week, and it couldn’t come at a better time.
Broncos win, 28-13.

The Chiefs are coming off of an almost-comeback against the Jags. And man, they have number 1 receiver now in Chris Chambers. He made an immediate affect in last weeks game, getting 2 of their 3 touchdowns. The Raiders still have not shown me virtually anything. I know the Raiders won this game the first time, but i feel like the Chiefs have been on the edge of beating these decent teams for the last week weeks, really ever since the Cowboys game. Now they finally play a VERY beatable team, and i think they will take advantage of that.
Chiefs win, 24-13.

The Seahawks are coming off of a win where they did not play their best at all. The Cardinals are undefeated on the road, but are 1-3 at home, losing to the Panthers, Colts and 49ers but beating Texans. My point? well, they aren't great at home, but they can take care of the passing teams. Seahawks haven't gotten their run game going as of yet, and I do expect them too, but the passing game will be shut down, leaving them one-dimensional. Cards will have a pretty good week.
Cardinals win, 24-20.

RHOADES
The Cardinals should pick apart the Seahawks defense this week, especially in the dome, while the Seahawks got down big against the Lions before making a comeback. The Cardinals should be able to handle the Seahawks pretty easily in the perfect conditions.
Cardinals win, 27-17.

The Cowboys are on a roll right now. They are the Beast of the East and control that NFC East with an essential 1.5 game lead. In my opinion, they are the 3rd best team in the NFC behind the Saints and Vikings (keeping in mind that just barely trailing them would be the Eagles and Falcons, both of which they beat.). Now, it isn't december yet, so we don't know how this team will do down the stretch. But Romo is 13-0 in November in his last 13 games, and last time i checked, its November. Even when traveling to Lambeu to play the potentially dangerous PAckers, i think they should win. Be careful now though, because this could be a trap game. Cowboys coming off of a big road win and the Packers coming off of a bitter loss, it has the potential to be an upset. But I don't think Brooking, Romo and Austin will let that locker room believe that they don't need to play as hard.
Cowboys win, 31-20.

The Cowboys have looked very impressive all year, and topped it off with a victory in Philadelphia ( I guess QB Tony Romo has never won a big game still.) The Packers are the laughing stock of football this week after getting beat pretty handedly to the Bucs.
Cowboys win, 28-14.

The Eagles are just not playing their best right now offensively. Westbrook is likely out for this game, and i don't think they can produce that many points against this stronger Chargers defense. However, the Chargers offense has been sputtered as well. Their passing game is the only thing they have, and the Eagles will feed on that. I expect the chargers to play a great game, and hold the Eagles to 17 points OFFENSIVELY, but i also expect the eagles to turn turnovers into at least 14 points. The Chargers are better on paper, but they need the real LT back to win this one, even at home.

Eagles win, 31-27.

RHOADES
The Eagles are coming off a big loss at home to Dallas, while the Chargers beat the Giants on a game winning drive. The Eagles have to travel a long way to San Diego, and when they get there, play a talented team in the Chargers.
Chargers win, 28-24.

The Pats are on fire right now. They have been playing well on bot sides of the ball and should continue to do so. The Colts are 8-0 but their secondary is injured, and they are playing a team who eats up secondaries for breakfast. I said during week 4 that the Pats will beat both the Colts and the Saints this year. I do not know why, but it seems as though whenever someone is undefeated they have to go through the Pats to get there. in 2007 but the Cowboys and Colts were undefeated after 5 games as were the Pats. They played the Cowboys week 5 and the Colts week 7 and beat them both for their first loss. The Colts won't be able to keep up with the massive amount points they are about to let up against this Pats team.

Patriots win, 38-30.

RHOADES
This game could decide the #1 seed in the AFC, and couldn’t come at a worse time for the Colts, who are missing ¾ starting players in the secondary. The Patriots will go into Indy and pass all over them.
Patriots win, 31-28

The Ravens are coming off of a second tough loss against the Bengals. They are bitter, and more importantly they are Better, then the Browns. But come on, who isn't? The Browns did announce that Brady Quinn will start this week. So we get to see him get eaten up by this wildly vicious Ravens linebacking core. Ravens will dominate, no question.

Ravens win, 28-12.
