This week is a GREAT list of games. There are tons of divisional match-ups and consequently many rivalry games. Even a couple of 5-0 teams going head to head to see who's the number one team in the conference, and a number 1 rusher, versus a number 1 rush defense. These any many games are picked below. Alex Rhoades was not able to produce reasonings for his picks this week due to personal reasons. He did however provide us with his picks and scores in general. Here are your official picks for week 6:

The Texans have really been on a sew saw for much of this season. Their pass defense seems to be lacking in more areas than one, and their offense is just so darn inconsistant. At 100% efficiency, this team is one of the best in the conference, but you never know if your getting 100%, 60% or 10%. If they can maintain an 80% or so, they could really make a bang in this playoff race. The Bengals are one of the biggest surprises in the league this year. At an astounding 4-1 and already 3-0 in the division, having beaten each of the teams within their division, every team is at LEAST 1.5 games behind them, which is huge for their hopes this season. The way they have been playing on both sides of the ball is impressive, and i expect nothing but a continuation of that this week.
Bengals win, 31-24.

The Lions started off "hot" (at least in terms of Detriot football teams) with a new QB and a new coaching staff and system. They looked pretty good, even got their first win of the season. Heck, even when Matthew Stafford went down, they still looked good with Daunte Culpepper running the offense. The Packers haven't really struggled but they remind me right now of the Cowboys. The teams they have beaten, they should have destroyed anyway, and the ones they lost to, were 5-0 vikings and the 4-1 Bengals, and were both VERY close games. This tells me they are on the brink of the playoff teams and will need a little more step to get there. But they should be beating the teams they are suppose to, especially in Green Bay.
Packers win, 28-14.

The Rams look terrible. I feel bad for head coach Steve Spagnola, who left the now 5-0 Giants to lead this "team" if you want to call it that. They may be considered a "Team" but i haven't seem them do one thing as a team all season. It just feels like 53 individuals playing each game, with 11 people on their side. and that is NOT the definition of a team. The Jags are another sporadic team. They fell flat on their faces last week after Michael Sims-Walker was benched because of an undisclosed team violation, which clearly distracted the team. They a team takes away their OWN best weapon, its pretty easy to stop them. But he will be back this week, and should be on a huge performance against the pitiful Rams "team".
Jags win, 31-9.

This is one of my favorite games all week. What a game this should be right? The Baltimore Ravens, one of the top rushing defenses in all of football for the last 6 years (statically) come into Minnesota to try to stop Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre? This should be interesting. I have been tossing and turning on this game over and over again. Let me lay out that facts here. The Ravens rush defense is incredibly, their pass defense is lacking as of late. Their rush offense is phenomenal, their pass game has lost speed, but is still impressive. The Vikings run game is incredible, pass game is gaining strength each week. Thier defense is pretty good on the passing front, but excellent on the running side. Now one thing is for sure, this game will define both teams throughout the NFL since neither of them has had any games that have stated their definite presence (lot of VERY close games). But, I feel that defense tends to win these types of battles, and The Ravens offense isn't half-bad either. It will be close but...
Ravens win, 27-24.
*Specific prediction: Peterson will NOT break 100 yards rushing in this game.*

This is another GREAT game this week. It looks as though the Giants are the team to beat in the NFC. They haven't really played anyone, but the teams that are suppose to be good, they beat barely, and the teams that are bad, they have destroyed. So they are doing everything they are suppose to so far. The Saints, however, have proven themselves already against teams like the Eagles (only because they dominated them) and the Jets (which showed their defensive abilities) I won't pick against the Giants much more throughout the season witht he way they are playing. But i feel as though the Saints defense is going to have to, and will step up in this game.
Saints win, 37-24.

The Browns got a win! They got a freakin' win! That throws the Bills under the bus (as they should be) but still! Wait this just in, the Steelers have Polamalu back? Its a GREAT week to have the Steelers defense in fantasy. They should dominate this game in all phases, and it should be a no contest game. If they Win, the Steelers will be either tied with, or still 1 game back for the division lead.
Steelers win, 24-6.

The Panthers don't look great, but they look better each and every week. The Bucs haven't shown much promise on any stage of the game. The only plus is, Josh Johnson seems to love his tight ends, so if you have Kellen Winsow on your fantasy bench, might wanna start him against this defense.
Panthers win, 27-21.

The Chiefs have shown that they can play offense. But it felt as though the Cowboys really dominated them outside of the last drive for KC. Most of their points was made form their defense creating turnovers. The Redskins are in trouble right now, they are panicking greatly cause of the amount of pressure that has been put on this team. 2-3 is not where they wanted to be right now, but with their only wins coming from the Bucs and the the rams (winning by a TOTAL of 5 points) and losses to the Panthers and the Lions (who were both winless). Its hard for me to pick the Chiefs for ANY game, but if theres one game they can win this season, its this one.
Chiefs win, 13-12.

The Eagles, to me, are still not on the radar just yet. They have yet to play a team of significance with all their starters in. They got crushed by the Saints, but McNabb wasn't playing. And the teams they have beaten are all 1-win or no-win teams. This week they play another onw of this 1-win teams. They should beat the Raiders, who have struggles in nearly every aspect of every game they have played this season. If the Eagles entire offensive and defensive lines were benched, and in their place were 11th grade high school football players, i would STILL take the Eagles. But don't expect to know who this team really is until about week 8 when they play the Giants and Cowboys back-to-back at home.
Eagles win, 34-9.

The Seahawks ravaged the Jags last week 41-0 and played phenomenal on both sides of the ball. They have Matt Hasselbeck back and he seems to be playing at an elite level. Their win couldn't have come at a better time, as a loss would have all but sealed another poor season for the Seahawks. The Cardinals haven't quite played up to potential either. After a loss from both the 49ers and the Colts, they don't seem to be themselves. However, both those teams seem to be doing quite well in their respective divisions as well. The Cardinals pass defense has been quite miserable, however their run defense seems to be peaking, incredibly. The Seahawks should find a way to exploit that pass defense and put a significant amount of points on the board. The rest is up to that Seahawks pass rush against Warner and that potentially explosive offense.
Seahawks win, 24-10.

The Titans are not playing well at all this year. They haven't been able to stop anything on defense and haven't been able to produce points on offense either. I hope they start playing Vince Young, just so they can get him some reps for the future, they may not want to start him next year, but he needs the experience while they can still get it. The Patriots are in bounce-back mode. They have been playing better as the season goes on, and each and every week Brady arms and report with his receivers gets eve better. They should be able to wipe the floor clean with the Titans, but expect the Titans to put up a good fight.
Patriots win, 27-20.

The Bills have been collapsing since they first game of the season. They played GREAT against the Pats but fell apart with 5 minutes remaining and haven't really been able to pull it back together since then. Its not looking great for Dick Juron's job, and i actually feel really bad for T.O. who has been on his best behavior, and has gotten pure streaks and hall of fame records ripped from him on this team. The Jets, despite losing to the Dolphins last week, have been playing well. Their defense is still stingy and their offense is still clicking, now that Sanchez got his rookie mistakes out of the way, they should be able to trample the Jets and really finish off their playoff hopes right here.
Jets win, 28-13.

The Bears and the Falcons are both 3-1 and look like they could be both the 2 wild cards out of the NFC. The Bears didn't look great at first, and their only loss comes from a Culter-mistake-filled Packers adventure. He has gotten much better report with his receivers now tho, and has been playing much better. The Falcons only loss comes from New England, but they didn't pretty much get crushed in that game. They proved they are the team to beat in the NFC South however after hauling over the 49ers 45-10. Im not fully convinced by their defense however, and their offense was lacking outside of last weeks endeavor, which was inevitably setup by the defense anyway. I think the Bears are the better overall team, and should come out on top despite a great home record for the Falcons the last 2 years.
Steelers win, 24-10.

The Denver Broncos could NOT be playing any better right now. They knocked off the Cowboys and the Patriots in the last two weeks in very dramatic finishes. Their defense has been playing incredibly, especially their run defense. Their offense is still lacking, but they seem to be clicking a little bit more and certainly seem more consistent. They haven't had to put up many points because of their defense, but the Chargers might have something to say about that. Phillip Rivers is playing at an explosive MVP rate, and the same can be said about his receiving core. They have played up to the potential in the passing game, but they are still lacking tremendously in the run game. Their defense will need to step it up, but in these division match-ups, there are ALWAYS surprises. I expect the Chargers to be desperate, and play like it. With a win here, they would only be down 2 games with the tie breaker, but with a loss they will be 4 games out of the division. They should bring their A-game and make for a great monday night game.
Chargers win, 27-20.
