Welcome to the kickoff of the 2010 NFL season. Because bye weeks do not start until week 4, we have a full 16-game schedule this week including an NFC championship rematch Thursday night, a posisbly renewed NFC east rivalry on Sunday night and a doubleheader on Monday night. So lets get right to the picks.

This game was the end of the NFC playoff bracket last year, it was a close one but Brett Favre threw a game-losing interception at the very end. In this game, I expect the Vikings to be the tougher team, but without Sidney Rice people may say it will be tough. Fortunetly for them, newly acquired Greg Camarillo will do just fine in his place. Expect big things from this Vikings team.

Vikings win, 28-17.

Saints win, 24-14

What a rousing matchup. Neither team really solidified huge improvements during the offseason, but the Browns picked up a possible starting QB in Jake Delhomme, we'll see how that pans out for them.
Browns win, 7-3. (kickoff return for TD)

The Browns are a little more talented than the Bucs

This should be an interesting game, with the Fins revamped offense and key additions on defense, they could be a team to be messing with. They are the better team here but that doesnt mean they will win. The Bills will have to have C.J. Spiller drive the train to win this game.
Fins win, 24-10.

The Bills could give them competition, but the Dolphins will prevail
Dolphins win, 24-10

This is a tough matchup to call. The Bengals did very well last year, sweeping their division and have gone after T.O. as a second receiver. This doesn't mean anything without a great offensive and defense. The Patriots looked phenomenal in the preseason, would be interesting if they didn't continue that dominance on Sunday.
Pats win, 20-14.

The Pats might be too much to handle on offense
Pats win, 27-24.

The Colts were 14-2 last year and played well until the Superbowl. Both times these 2 teams met, the Colts BARELY slipped out with a win. I think its finally the Texan's time to win one on the Colts. Look for the Texans to have their first playoff season this year. This will be a close one
Texans win, 21-20.

The Colts are returning a lot of injured players for this game

This is an even matchup as well. Both teams made some interesting offseason moves, but for better or for worse? The Broncos lack of... well, anything in the second half of the season proved that they were not ready to be a playoff team but maybe that changes this year. The Jags have been on the verge for the last couple years and have generally played pretty well. I like the Jags in this game, but I'm really not sure why.
Jags win, 21-13.

This is a classic trap game. The Falcons are the better team in this matchup, especially without a starting QB for the Steelers. Everyone pretty much assumes the Falcons should win this. However, do you think Mike Tomlin is saying "we have no QB, lets just give up on the first 4 games then have an epic come back for the playoffs"? Of course not. He's more prepared than any for this matchup. Expect the Steelers to play to the strengths and keep the Falcons contained and surprise them early. Also expect a couple of trick plays and a huge upset.
Steelers win, 28-17.
P.S. Alex is a Matt Ryan fan, hes just jealous cause he knows I'm right.

So the Raiders think they have a starting QB now... if Peyton manning was their QB, they would still not be able to stop CJ2k so theres no reason to think they can win this game. And for the record, Jason Campbell is NOT the answer (hint hint, you need an offensive line!)
Titans win, 35-17.

The Chris Johnson show starts sunday, maybe another 2000 yards for him?

The Panthers got a new QB in Matt Moore and is playing quite well. The Giants have a renewed defense and if they can stay healthy, could be a team to be messing with. The Giants really should win this game, but they have proven me wrong MANY times before...
Giants win, 24-10.

Another interesting game. 2 years in an an upgraded defense for Jay Cutler could prove well against the Lions. But don't ever sleep on the Lions. Their offseason additions and last season's progress should be proof that they could put up a decent season this year.
Bears win, 17-14.

I don't even know what to say. Did the Cardinals even decide on a QB yet? What? Derek Anderson you say? Hmm.... I'll take my chances with Sam Bradford and the rams. Maybe thats a tad desperate, but you get my point. This game will determine the season's expectation for the Cardinals, and possibly the division already (Let's face it, its between them and the 49ers). Should be interesting to watch.
Cards win, 10-9.

The Eagles have gone though many offseason changes and no one knows how that will affect them. I personally think this year is a rebuilding stage for them, but by next year they will be back. The Packers have only gotten better and were honestly very good last year. No reason they shouldn't win this unless they crack under the pressure Eagle-fan obscenities.
Packers win, 31-14.

The Packers are overhyped this year, but still a dangerous team.
Packers win, 24-17.

The 49ers are the better team here. They have a great defense and a great running game. If Vernon davis and Alex Smith can connect on a couple of key passes to open up that passing game, it could be a long game for the already wounded Seahawks.
49ers win, 21-7.

The Cowboys are coming off of a miserable preseason and are hoping that getting back a few of their key starters will greatly improve their play. The Redskins might be a team to be messing with, but with all their changes, until they prove anything i can't hop on their bandwagon. My expectations for the Redskins are high though, consider yourself warned.
Cowboys win, 28-21.

The Dez Bryant show begins, can he live up to the hype?
Cowboys win, 14-7.
The Ravens have really made some great moves this offseason and could be a team to be wrecking with, especially if their defense gest off to a good start. The Jet's main focus is their running game and its going to be hard to get anything going against this Ravens defense. This will be a very good game to watch, but expect the Ravens to squeak out a win.
Ravens win, 17-14.

The Revis Island is back in business
Jets win, 27-10.
The Chargers are at the points where it is superbowl or bust. They have been so close for so many years, and now they have released RB Ladianian Tomlinson. An interesting move indeed, the Chiefs dont have too much to celebrate but they can be happy they are starting fresh again. The Chargers should end those hopes pretty quicly though.
Chargers win, 30-14.
